Internationally acclaimed violinist Darin Qualls, in collaboration with multi award winning pianist Lim Yan will perform at Singapore’s YMS Auditorium Saturday October 4th and Friday October 10th at 8 pm.

Winner of the prestigious Starling Prize, Darin Qualls was called “AMAZING...a truly gifted performer” by Andrea Murray of America’s “All Classical Radio”.

Hailed by Piano Magazine as “bewitching and possessing a fantastic sense of energy and capacity for serene spaciousness”, Lim Yan was the gold medal winner at the Karic International Piano Competition and locally has been a concert soloist with the Singapore Symphony.

The duo will present a rich and dramatic programme of classics including iconic American composer Aaron Copland’s tribute to a fallen soldier, Maurice Ravel's wildly passionate “Blues” Sonata, Karol Szymanowsky’s mysterious and exotic “Mythes”...each movement based on an ancient Greek fable, and Gabriel Faure’s breathtaking masterpiece, his late work, the second Sonata in E minor.
